Which is better, a pool view room or take the chance of a partial savanna standard view room at animal kingdom lodge?

    Hello Andreena!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel with a great question!

I have recently stayed at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge and I absolutely love this Disney Resort hotel. We had booked a standard room and were informed upon check-in that we would be able to choose either a parking lot view closer to the lobby or a partial savannah view. Needless to say we chose the partial savannah view, and it was just beautiful. Yes, it is partial, but every single day, especially in the morning, we saw giraffes, zebras and other animals making their way to enjoy their day in the beautiful savannah.

I believe your final choice depends on your family’s preferences. Our partial savannah standard view room was far from the lobby, and I understand that is a concern for some Guests. I do not mind walking, but I suggest checking with Cast Members once you check in to make sure where your room is located. I must say that when I travel with my daughter I prefer to stay near the pool, because that’s where she likes to hang out most of the time. If you choose to stay near the pool, there are other beautiful places where you can enjoy the savannah, and one of these places is the amazing Sanaa. If you have the chance to dine in this beautiful restaurant, have an early dinner and ask to be seated with a savannah view. Animals are more active at the end of the day when the sun is not so hot, and we just had memorable views.

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I hope this helps you while planning!

    Best magical wishes,
