Are there better days for visiting the different theme parks? For example is it better to visit the Magic Kingdom on a Thursday or a Sunday?

Hello Carol and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
For me, any day of the week is better spent at Walt Disney World Resort!  But seriously, I totally understand your great question and my answer is this - traditionally a lot of Guests arrive at Walt Disney World Resort on a Friday and stay until Monday; which can make the weekends a busier time in the Disney Theme Parks and especially so during any Public Holiday such as Christmastime.
A good planning resource can be the Walt Disney World Resort Park Hours calendar which can help plot each Parks Extra Magic Hours or gain better knowledge of Special Events or Tours. This is good information to know because crowd levels may begin to swell during the afternoon of a park which is due to benefit from evening Extra Magic Hours or if there's a special event happening such as the Disney Princess Half Marathon presented by Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. Used wisely Extra Magic Hours can be a nice perk for all Guests staying in Walt Disney World Resort hotels.
I'm sure whichever Disney Theme Park you choose to visit you'll enjoy a magical day making memories which are sure to last an entire lifetime.
    Have a great Disney day.
    ~ Jane
