Beth,Another? Doin FQ w/dx so we can do HDD&Luau. Also thought of POP w/ref,pref room to save$?Does this help me?Upgrade2DDP or DX.10days.Spend 1d at Universal pos2.Also had idea to stay less days @dx hotel? Is CRT ok for DS!15/DD13?How to plan this?

    Hi Sheri,

Thanks for the follow up question and this is my best advice. By dropping to Pop Century, you will save money on your room. While I have not stayed at this resort, other Moms on the panel have and they like it. Since you plan on touring the parks with two teenagers, I think you can absolutely drop down to the Pop Century. I think they may even like the themeing at this resort better than at French Quarter.

By staying at a less expensive resort, you could upgrade to the Deluxe Dining plan. I am not sure if you are getting free dining or not, but if you are on a package that offered free dining, definitely upgrade. This will reduce your out of pocket expense on vacation. If you are not on a free dining package, you may need to work the numbers to determine if it is worthy you to purchase all the "extra food" just to cover the two dinner shows. I tend to think with your 15 year old pirate you might want to get the extra dining to feed him:)

You can absolutely stay less days at the Walt Disney World Resort. Again, having teenagers will make it easier to tour longer. Again, if they are helping with the planning, then work as a family to outline what are the must haves on the trip. You may even be able to reduce to a base Magic Your Way ticket without the Park Hopper option if you are looking to stay longer. You would simply stay at one park all day and not split days in a park. This would also free you up to spend time at the resort or visit DisneyQuest or visit the water parks.

As for Cinderella's Royal Table, it is appropriate for princesses and princes of all ages. While the younger children might be more enchanted by the wands and the swords, it is a special treat to eat in the castle.

    Have a magical trip!
