Beth, Thanks for answering my question about what my 2 year old will do in lieu of the ToonTown closing. Other than Fantasyland ,Buzz Lyear,Monster, Inc. Laugh Fact.,Pirates (League) and ride, andJungle Cruise, are there any other recs for our 2yo son?

    Hi Elizabeth,

Thank you for the follow up question. The beauty of ToonTown was there were small areas for the little ones to roam around in. They could splash in Donald's boat and crawl in small play areas. The rest of ToonTown was visiting Mickey and Minnie's houses as well as meeting other characters. There was Goofy's Barnstormer which was a great first roller coaster. There was also temporary tattoos and face painting.

While for many families this was an important place to make memories, my family including my two year old found more outside of this area. Walt Disney really wanted all of Walt Disney World to be enjoyed by everyone.

Your two year old can explore a fort on Tom Sawyer's Island. He can dig for dinosaur bones in the Boneyard at Animal Kingdom and Affection Section as well. Disney's Hollywood Studios has Honey I Shrunk the Movie Set Adventure. EPCOT has activities such as the dancing fountains which divide Future World and World Showcase. Remember as long as there is no safety issue or you are worried about him being scared, he can go on many attractions.

I think there are so many things for a two year old to do. My youngest started going at two and has really loved all there is at WDW!
