Hi Beth! Another question. If I make a room only ressie for the end of Aug., can I still make ADR's at 180 days without the dining plan AND can I add the dining plan and tweek my ressie dates if free dining is announced? Thank you for your help.

    Hi Jaynee!

It's great to hear from you again - I love getting follow-up questions!

Yes, if you make a room-only reservation at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel, you will be able to make your dining reservations 180 days in advance.  Not only that, but you will actually be able to make dining reservations for your ENTIRE trip on that date (up to 10 days).  Without a hotel or package reservation, you can still make dining reservations at 180 days, but you will just be doing those one day at a time, instead of all at once.

If you'd like a little help calculating exactly when that 180 day mark will arrive, you can use one of the handy-dandy unofficial calculators online, like the one on www.pscalculator.net.   On that date, you can call, use the My Disney Experience mobile app or visit the website to make all of your dining reservations.

If you decide you'd like to add the Disney Dining Plan later, you can definitely call to do that.  You will need to convert your room-only reservation to a Magic Your Way Vacation Package, which also includes theme park tickets, so just keep that in mind.  The same is true if a free dining promotion is announced, so you will be able to add that (and theme park tickets) just as long as the promotion is available for your dates and hotel.  Either way, if you've already make your dining reservations, those will not be impacted if you make changes to your reservation.

I hope that helps, Jaynee, but please feel free to let me know if I can answer any other questions for you!  Sending lots of pixie dust for your 2016 vacation planning!
