Where is the best vantage point to see the River of LIght event at night?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Sharon!

My family and I just returned home from a magical vacation at Walt Disney World and had the most wonderful experience at Animal Kingdom Park! Our two favorites were the new Pandora - The World of Avatar with the amazing attractions there, as well as the Rivers of Light show at night.

We had FastPass+ reservations for Rivers of Light. I highly recommend choosing a FastPass+ for this event, as it will give you a great center of the show viewing area. Alternatively, if you book a Rivers of Light dining package, those guests also have center viewing, just to the left of the FastPass+ reservations. Those are by far the two best sections to sit in. However, if you just plan on arriving early and grabbing a seat, you'll surely enjoy the show as well. Try to sit as close to the center of the viewing area as possible. There are stadium type seating on wooden benches or stone benches toward the bottom. The stone ones were really nice when it got chilly at night, because they retained the heat from the sun all day, so we had a warmer seat! The seating areas are in a U-shape, so the center is where they meet, separated by one of the rivers. You'll still see fabulously from wherever you sit, but closer to that center will give a great view!

Enjoy this unique nighttime spectacular, Sharon, and don't forget to swing back to Pandora afterwards to see that land at night. It's unlike anything you've ever experienced as you walk through the bioluminescent forest in the dark! So gorgeous!

    Happy travels,
