What are some of the best unique photo ops during the princess half?

    Hi Kelly!

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

One of the best things about running a runDisney race is that the course is never exactly the same.  They try to mix up characters and give runners a few surprises along the way.

However, having run the Princess Half Marathon many times, I can give you some of my favorites that are generally available.

    1.  This one is obvious, but getting a photo in front of Cinderella Castle is a must-do.  If you aren't worried about stopping, there are usually photographers stationed at the front of the castle to get a great shot of you without lots of people in the background.

    2.  Mary Poppins-  Mary, Bert, and a few of their penguin friends are usually stationed along the course. As one of my all-time favorite movies, this is huge for me! I always stop for them.

    3.  Parade floats- Usually, when you exit the Magic Kingdom, there will be some of the floats from various Disney parades.  That's pretty cool to see.

    4.  The Princes- You will see many of the Disney Princes along the course, too.  They are always on the lookout for their favorite princess.

This is just a sampling of the photo opportunities for the Princess Half Marathon. You can also Google "Princess Half Marathon recap" to look for runners' race accounts of previous years if you want even more details.  However, I like to be surprised, so I would want to wait and see for myself!

I hope this helps.  Please let me know if you have any other questions!
