Best Tips for first time cruisers? We are going on the Disney Dream in July (Bahamas 4 day). My husband & I will be traveling with our 10 yr old daughter & our 6 yr old son.

    Ahoy again Christina –

Welcome back to the Panel! Let’s continue our conversation about sailing on the Disney Dream. As I mentioned before, I sailed a few months ago with my 11-year-old daughter and 5-year-old son (my husband could not make this trip), and it was one of the best weekends I ever had. Here are my favorite tips for first time cruisers on the Dream:

Read your Personal Navigator while you are still waiting to be called for boarding in the cruise terminal. You will find important planning information regarding events, character greetings, places to eat and the general schedule. It can be overwhelming when you board, so make your game plan of things you would like to accomplish before you get onboard.

Visit the Oceaneer Club, Edge and Vibe on the first day during Open House. I had the greatest time playing with my children, dancing on the Magic Play floor, exploring the Millennium Falcon, and we even made a film!

Enjoy a sweet ice-cream, gelato, or classic Walt Disney World Main Street treat from Vanellope’s Sweets & Treats with your family.

Drop off the kids to play while you party in the adult part of the ship. I did not mind visiting “Pink” several times during my journey.

Finally, if you had a blast on this cruise, be sure to book another one before debarkation to save 10% and get up to $200 onboard credit.

Christina, please come see us again if you need further assistance and thanks for visiting with us here!
