Best time to visit in January or February regarding crowds? We are currently booked for 6 nights over Princess 1/2 weekend, but considering changing. Using DVC points, any resort reccomendations for a studio? We have only stayed at BLT. Thank you.

    Hello, Amanda!

Both January and February are great months to head to Walt Disney World! While the weather may be a bit milder in February, that isn't always the case. If that doesn't matter, you might see lighter crowds in January rather than February, especially if you don't pick a three-day holiday weekend or the Disney Princess Half Marathon weekend. Head over to a great, unofficial crowd-predicting site, touringplans.com, to see estimated crowd levels for both months.

Regarding studios at Disney Vacation Club Resorts, there are so many great choices! Consider what you'd like to be closest to during your upcoming stay, and book a nearby resort. If you know you'll be spending a lot of time at Epcot or Disney's Hollywood Studios, try Disney's Beach Club Villas. The resort is fabulous, the pool, Stormalong Bay, is spectacular (heated nicely) and it's just so close to so much of the magic. If you'll be heading to Downtown Disney, consider a studio at Disney's Old Key West Resort. This resort is as laid-back as the Florida Keys, has a great pool and restaurant and offers boat rides to DD. (This will also cost you fewer points and the rooms are a bit larger than some of the other DVC resorts!) While Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas-Kidani Village is further away from everything but Disney's Animal Kingdom, a Savannah View Studio will make that extra travel time so worthwhile. The pool here, Samawati Springs, with the adjacent water playground Uwanja Camp, will keep your family busy for hours, too.

Each of the DVC Resorts have personalities unto themselves, and offer certain conveniences that others do not, so be sure to send me another question about any of them; I'd love to let you know what not to miss at any of them! Have fun planning!
