When is the best time to use our Fastpass+ reservations (morning or afternoon)? I have already made ride reservations, but was wondering if there was pro's/con's to morning vs. afternoon? We are morning people and plan on getting to park when it op

    Hi Susie,

You have a great question about what time you should make your FastPass+ selections.  Since you are morning people and are planning on arriving to the theme parks when they open, you will find the queues for the attractions to be the lowest during the first hour or two and can easily enjoy several attractions using the standby queues during this time.  Therefore my recommendation is to set your first FastPass+ selection for around mid-day.

Personally my own family prefers to arrive to the theme parks at least half an hour prior to their opening.  Quite often Guests are admitted to the theme parks approximately 15 minutes prior to their posted opening times.  Depending upon the park Guests who arrive prior to theme park opening may enjoy an opening ceremony or are allowed to begin filtering into the park.  By arriving prior to the opening time you are able to enjoy the early bird perks and have a head start on making your magical moments.  Since you will be ahead of the crowd you will be able to enjoy the lowest wait times first thing in the morning and in my opinion there is usually not a benefit for setting your FastPass+ selections during the first couple of hours since most of the standby queues aren't very long yet.  Another benefit for making afternoon FastPass+ selections is if your family decides to sleep in at the last moment you will not have to worry about re-scheduling your selections.

I hope this information helps you with your planning Susie!  Please let us know if you have any further Disney vacation planning questions, we are always happy to help you plan your next magical adventure.
