What is the best way to get from Port Orleans French Quarter to Wilderness Lodge. We have a 7:25 dinner reservation at WIlderness Lodge.

    Hi Robert!

I love so many things about Disney's Wilderness Lodge, but I've got to say, the food is definitely at the top of the list. We make a point to get reservations at Artist Point and Whispering Canyon Cafe each time we come to Walt Disney World. So, I tip my hat to you for having good taste my friend!

As for your question, I think you have two main transportation options to consider:

    Option #1

As you probably know, guests staying at Walt Disney World resort hotels have access to complimentary transportation to the theme parks. That being said, you can take a bus from Disney's Port Orleans Resort to any of the theme parks, then transfer to a bus that's on the route to Disney's Wilderness Lodge.

If you want to mix it up, you could take a bus to the Magic Kingdom, then take one of the boats, or "water launches", over to Disney's Wilderness Lodge. That might be a fun way to go because the water launches drop guests off at a dock that will lead you on a really beautiful walk through the resort's grounds.

I hesitate to suggest an amount of time this will take because it really depends on the time of year. I'd suggest paying attention to average travel times you're experiencing and using that as a rough gauge for the time you budget if you choose this option for transportation.

    Option #2

If you find yourself pressed for time, you can take a taxi over to Disney's Wilderness Lodge. The bellhops at Disney's Port Orleans Resort can flag a staged taxi from the parking lot and they can get you over there lickety-split. Keep in mind, you will obviously have to pay taxi fares and gratuity if you choose this option for transportation.

I hope that helps! If you want recommendations on what to order, feel free to stop back by the Disney Parks Moms Panel and I'll be happy to divulge some of my favorites from Artist Point and Whispering Canyon Cafe.

    Bon Appetit!
