What is the best way to plan a "generations" trip for November 2019?

    Hi, there!

Frances, I'm so thrilled to hear you're beginning to plan a trip to the Walt Disney World Resort with your multi-generational family. You've come to the right place for help!

My multi-generational family of 14 traveled together a few years ago, and we had the most magical stay. The first thing we did was make hotel reservations. There are many benefits of staying at a Disney Resort hotel so we knew staying "on property" was going to make our vacation easier for all of us. With three generations traveling together, we decided that having separate rooms, rather than suites, would better accommodate varying sleep schedules. Once our rooms were booked, we began making dining reservations. Character Dining Experiences were extra great because we were able to enjoy delicious food AND the company of beloved Disney characters while creating special family memories. When we were 60-days away from our arrival date, we made sure everyone was linked as Family & Friends on My Disney Experience and we began making FastPass+ selections for experiences the family could enjoy together.

My best piece of advice when traveling to the Walt Disney World Resort as a multi-generational family is to plan for lots of family time, but also plan for some downtime. Taking afternoon breaks allows for some much-needed flexibility!
