What is the best plan for eating at WDW, dinner plan or discount dinning card?  I don't know the name of it -- just heard about it.

    Hi Michael,

I think the discount card you are talking about is called Tables in Wonderland.  I have such a card and I am a big fan of it.  The card offers Florida Residents and Annual Passholders 20% off all food and beverage purchases at participating Disney restaurants.  My experience is most Table Service and a few Quick Service restaurants at Walt Disney World participate in the program.  Just keep in mind that Disney reserves the right to change the discounts at any time.  Also the present card results in 18% gratuity being added regardless of party size.

If you are dining at a Disney Resort with valet parking and use your Tables in Wonderland card, you can valet park for free.  Be sure to advise the Cast Member and keep your dining receipt!

For more information on Tables in Wonderland, including the latest price, call (407) 566-5858.

However, I can not recommend one over the other.  You would have to do the math, knowing how your party likes to dine.  If you just eat Quick Service meals, then the Tables in Wonderland card is not as useful as most of the restaurants participating are Table Service (full service) restaurants.  If you dine at a lot of Table Service meals then it may make sense.  My family enjoys one or two Table Service meals each day; the Tables in Wonderland card works well for our family.  You can view the menus with prices for most of the restaurants at Walt Disney World at the AllEars.Net website.  Their address is www.allears.net.

    Have a magical vacation!
