What is the best way to plan dining in the Magic Kingdom during a 1-day cruise excursion. My previous trip to WDW allowed for me to make dinner reservations 6 months in advance. Will I be limited to fast pass type dining?

    Ahoy, Lisa!

It looks like you are only a few weeks away from casting off on your Bahamian sailing! I love the itinerary you've chosen because it includes three of my most favorite destinations-the Walt Disney World Resort, Disney Castaway Cay and the beautiful Disney Magic. My crew enjoyed this cruise a few yEARs ago, and there was nothing like sailing past the New York City skyline and Lady Liberty when we left the Big Apple. I hope you have picture perfect weather to experience these amazing views.

Lisa, you are welcome to secure an advance dining reservation for your visit at any Table-Service restaurant on the Walt Disney World Resort property including Magic Kingdom. You can call (407) 939-3463 or check availability online by exploring the Dining section. I would do so as soon as possible as many restaurants book up quickly. I also would continue to check often because openings can pop up at any time as other Guests change their plans. Since Magic Kingdom is on the monorail loop, I suggest exploring some of the options at the three Magic Kingdom Resort hotels. All three, Disney's Contemporary Resort, Disney Polynesian Village Resort and Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa, have fabulous Table-Service restaurants. Also, Disney's Wilderness Lodge and Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground are both a boat ride away and offer some delicious venues. Your 1-day park hopper ticket only includes transportation and park admission so you'll want to budget for any additional purchases.

I hope you find a great dining option for your crew, Lisa. If you need any other help, please cruise back over to "sea" us!
