    Rachel from CO Asked

What are the best places for face painting at California Adventure and Disneyland?

Hey there, Rachel! I absolutely love whenever I get the chance to help one of my fellow Coloradans plan a trip to the Happiest Place on Earth!

During my visit to the Disneyland Resort last month we spotted a few face painting stations. There is usually a face painting station at the exit of Pixie Hollow in Disneyland Park. I have also occasionally spotted face painting by Matterhorn Bobsleds near the FASTPASS distribution kiosks.

When I was in Disney California Adventure Park, there was face painting available right inside the entrance to “a bug’s land.” This particular station was located in an area called the Blueberry Scout Jamboree where kids could also do some coloring and participate in a little scavenger hunt around “a bug’s land.” We did this with my daughter and she had a blast scoping out all the items on the list. When you complete the scavenger hunt, return to the Blueberry Scout Jamboree area and your child will receive a special prize.

Finally, there is also a face painting area in the Downtown Disney District near the LEGO Store. Most of these stations offer several options ranging from small designs to full face paint. I suggest partaking in the face paint fun earlier in the day so your child can enjoy the design before potentially smudging it during nap time or having to wash it off before a dip in the pool in the afternoon. Also, since these stations aren’t permanent structures, you may find that they have moved locations since I visited. If that’s the case, simply ask a Cast Member while you are in the parks and I’m sure they can point you in the right direction.

If you have any other questions, please stop by again!
