Where's the best place to have a sweet 16 party for family of five

    Hi Anna,

The answer to this really depends on your budget and the interests of the birthday boy or girl. I have three teenage daughters and each of their dream parties would be very different.

You can have a cake delivered to any restaurant at Walt Disney World. There's actually a special cake hotline just for this purpose (how cool is that)! To order a cake call 407-827-2253. The independent Disney fan site has lots of photos of cake options and more details about flavors and pricing. Cut/paste into your browser:

After that, take into consideration the celebrant's interests. For example, the most sophisticated place to dine at Disney World is the Chef's Table at the Grand Floridian's posh Victoria & Albert's restaurant. My oldest daughter lives for glamour, so she adores experiences like this. Her sister is into science fiction. She would prefer to celebrate at the Sci-Fi Dine-In at Disney's Hollywood Studios. And my third daughter likes to hold onto every shred of her childhood for as long as possible. She'll be 16 in a few months. I'm sure she'd be THRILLED if I told her she was have her birthday at Chef Mickey's.

You may also find that something like a parasailing or horseback riding excursion works better as a party for your family than a traditional dinner would.

For more ideas about ways to celebrate, you may want to check out an article in the fan site Cut/paste into your browser:

We'd love to help you create the best possible experience. Please write back with more details about the 16 year old and we'll be happy to help.
