Where is the best place to park when visiting Epcot? we have dinner reservations in the park and are then planning to watch Illuminations and what is the best way to get back to our car.

    Hi Helen!

I'm happy to hear you'll be enjoying a delicious meal at one of Epcot's awesome dining locations. In Epcot's World Showcase, Guests can dine on cuisine from all around the world (11 countries!), such as Teppan Edo in the Japan section or Rose and Crown Dining Room in the U.K. Pavilion.

There are several parking options when visiting Walt Disney World Resort's theme parks. Resort hotel guests enjoy complimentary parking at all four theme parks. Non-resort guests can pay one fee for a parking pass that's good all day for all four parks - Magic Kingdom Park, Epcot, Disney's Hollywood Studios and Disney's Animal Kingdom Park. Preferred parking is $40 per day, and is located close to theme park entrances. Standard parking is $20 per day. Once you arrive at the parking lot, Cast Members will direct you to a parking spot. The lot is filled in sections, so Guests arriving don't really have a chance to "choose" a spot within the parking area.

Guests with the ability to walk short distances should have no problem parking in the main parking lot, as courtesy trams will come pick you up at the end of the rows of parked cars and take you to the park's Main Entrance. It's usually not a very long walk or wait to catch a tram. If you miss a tram, no worries, another one will be along within a few minutes. Guests with mobility disabilities can park in Walt Disney World's Disability Parking Lots, located a short distance from the Main Entrances.

Moms Panel Tip: Make sure to take note of the section where you park, so you can remember where to exit the tram when you return at the end of the day! I usually snap a quick picture at the end of the parking row, which will have the name of the section and the row number printed on the ground. Epcot's parking lot is HUGE, and you don't want to forget where you parked! (Ask me how I know...)

I hope this helps! Have a magical day! - Diane W.
