Whats the best parks for a 5 year old girl for her first Disney trip if we are only going to be there for 2 1/2 days? It would also be around the same time as the halloween party! Any Suggestions would be helpful! We are so excited!

    Hi Jenna,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Hooray for your little one's first trip to the Walt Disney World Resort!

When my girls were 5-years old, we took them to the Walt Disney World Resort for their first visit! We had so many happy surprises on that trip. It was simply magical. They loved Magic Kingdom, Epcot and Disney's Animal Kingdom. We spent some great time at Epcot - they stuck to the Innoventions area like glue.

At Magic Kingdom, you definitely need to do at least one character meal. Make sure she takes her autograph book and gets each character to sign it! Consider making your initial Fast Pass+ selections from the following - Dumbo the Flying Elephant, "it's a small world," Astro Orbiter, The Magic Carpets of Aladdin, Peter Plan's Flight and the Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh. She may also love Seven Dwarfs Mine Train and Splash Mountain. At Epcot, we get a Fast Pass+ for Soarin' Around the World. Just be sure that you have checked the Attractions List to be sure she meets the height requirements for each ride.

Jenna, if your little one is a princess fan, be sure that she visits with her royal friends, Disney Princesses at Walt Disney World Resort. My girls were just in awe of them when they were 5-years old. Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party was super cute the last time I went. Watching everyone dressed in her or his character best was so much fun!

Magic, memories and Minnie Mouse hugs,
