What's the best way to navigate through each park? Is there a route or plan you can suggest?

    Hello, Crystal!

You have posed a very interesting question about touring the theme parks. With a little bit of advance planning, my family and I are able to experience all of our favorite attractions (some even multiple times) with the freedom to make changes on the spot. I am happy to share some of my tips with you!

There are a few things that you need to consider first:
    • What are your must-visit attractions and experiences?
    • Out of those attractions and experiences, which ones can you use FastPass+, and which ones can you explore at your leisure?
Additionally, if any of your must-visit attractions are the park headliners (like Seven Dwarfs Mine Train and the 'mountain' coasters at Magic Kingdom Park, for example) then you will want to either utilize FastPass+ or visit these attractions first thing in the morning to minimize time spent in line.

After you have selected your family's must-visit attractions, you will want to mark them on a park map so that you can get a general idea of where you are heading. At this point, if any of your attractions are time-sensitive (like stage shows, parades, fireworks) you will want to mark those to ensure that you will be in the right place at the right time.

Some planning websites encourage Guests to head left (or right) and visit the theme parks in a clockwise (or counter-clockwise) arrangement, but that hasn't ever really worked for me. My one takeaway from years of planning is this: Prioritize a few things that you and your family want to experience most, and plot out a walking path that will get you where you need to go. By printing out a map at home and following these quick and easy steps, you will be all set for magical day of exploration at the Walt Disney World Resort.

I hope that you have a wonderful vacation, Crystal! If you have any other questions, please do not hesitate to stop back by the Moms Panel. I'd love to hEAR from you!
