best mom bag to use at disney? can we bring snacks in our bag? what do you do with bag when on a ride? we are not staying at disney hotel....is there a way I can still purchase memory maker? and make meal reservations with character dining? THANKS MOMMAS!

Hello, Amy! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

I've taken a wide variety of bags on my Walt Disney World Resort vacations over the years, but my favorite is a cross-body bag with a wide, adjustable shoulder strap. I like the flexibility of carrying it over one shoulder, across my back, or across the front of my body (depending on how many souvenirs I've stuffed inside)! The one I currently carry has plenty of pockets, too--a "secret" one in the back for my cell phone, a mesh one inside for a poncho, an outer one for smaller items like a cell phone charger and hand sanitizer, and a side pocket for a water bottle, too. Snacks are essential as well! While we always purchase goodies like Mickey Pretzels and Dole Whips to share, I also keep a bag of trail mix and a couple of granola bars from home, too.

Most attractions have pockets or storage bins to hold your bags, but you can also usually keep them at your feet. Don't feel like you have to carry everything on your own, though! My husband and 9-year-old daughter each carry their snacks, drinks, poncho and other essentials in their own cross-body bags, too. My daughter has been carrying her own bag (albeit a lighter version) since she was four years old. She loves having access to her own things, but Dad and I are willing to help share the load if it gets too heavy.

And yes, any Guest--regardless of whether or not you're staying at an official Walt Disney World Resort hotel--can purchase Memory Maker AND make dining reservations up to 180 days from your visit! You'll also be able to book your FastPass+ reservations 30 days in advance, too!

Please let us know if we can answer any other questions for you.
