    Which is the best longhouse to stay in at the Polynesian?

    Jill,

    The easy answer is that every longhouse at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort is the best, if you are staying there!

    Everyone's preferences are different, but for me I have a few rules I try to follow;
    • I avoid longhouses where a room may face the main pool, as afternoon noise could disrupt nap time for my daughters
    • I avoid longhouses where a room may face the marina, again due to possible noise issues
    • I like to be close to the Great Ceremonial House (the main lobby building of the resort)
    I try to get closer to the main hall, not just for the conveniences it provides, but because it really carries the Polynesian theme that makes the visit so fun for our family. Having said that, and assuming you are getting a standard room, I would opt for these longhouses, in this order;
    • Tokelau
    • Rarotonga
    • Aotearoa
    • Niue
    I do want to clarify that there really is no bad longhouse. I just prefer these based on my own personal preferences.

    The real tip here is that when you are about to make the trek down to Orlando, use the Online Check-In feature before leaving home. At that time you will be able make certain room location requests, which should help you get a room that matches your own personal room preferences.

    Write me back if you have any follow-up questions!
