What's the best way for a group of 8 to get from Port Orleans French Quarter to Magic Kingdom for Bibbidi Bobbidi appointments at 8:30 a.m.? 6 adults, 2 kids who need car seats. Park opens at 9 a.m. that day

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Teresa! Getting a big family out to morning events is always a daunting task! Coupled with some Walt Disney World Resort magic, it can be easy, stylish and fun!

When I had my extended family out for a vacation last year, I was so happy Disney had “invented” Minnie Vans for guests to use. Morning transportation to early breakfasts or morning tours was hard if you didn’t have a car to tootle around the Resort. You can download the LYFT app for free, and when you are present on Walt Disney World Resort property, you can choose the Minnie Van head icon in types of transportation to call one. These vans are a premium, but they provide two Graco forever car seats, installed and ready to go for your little ones. Each car can take 6 guests, so while you will need two vans, you could split into one Minnie Van and one LYFT regular ride if you need to watch your wallet. It’s also worth checking with your Disney Resort concierge about the bus schedule the morning of your appointment. While transportation typically starts running an hour before the Park opens, if you could catch a bus around 7:15 or so, you could be in good shape. Keep in mind that it takes time to walk through security, touchpoints and into the Park, especially if a morning crowd is waiting to get in. There should be a line for pre-opening dining reservations, tours and appointments, so ask a friendly Cast Member to point the way.

If I can help you with another aspect of your magical transformation, please let me know. You’ve got a friend in me! ~ Lindsey P.
