Where is the best grocery store?

    Allison,

In the Orlando area I always prefer to visit Publix grocery stores. I find that their produce quality is the best, and that is important to our family as we use our grocery shopping as a way to re-insert fresh fruits and vegetables into our kids diets. Since a parks vacation comes with more sweets and treats (as well as fried delicacies) than we typically have at home, this becomes an essential way to keep us from really slipping into bad habits.

I also find that they have a good wine and beer selection. We like to have a bottle of wine to enjoy during our stay. It is, after all, a vacation for us too! Finally, their gourmet foods selection is nice (need some cheese with that wine!), and their prepared foods can be a great first lunch after landing at the Orlando airport.

Now if you are asking more for convenience and proximity to Walt Disney World, then I would recommend Goodings. It is just to the east of Downtown Disney, in the Crossroads Shopping Center. It is going to be fine if you are not in a rental and don't have time to find an area Publix.

Write me back if you have any follow-up questions!

    Have a magical vacation!
