What is the best way to go about planning our days at Disney? Rides, parks, reservations...it’s overwhelming! Is there an agent that can help with this?

    Hi Tommy,

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! It sounds like you are planning your first trip to the Walt Disney World Resort!

There are cast members ready to assist you if you call 407-939-5277. I have booked trips through a travel agent in the past but now I either book directly through the website or with a cast member using the number I just provided.

Time is of the essence! To get started, I suggest that you use the Walt Disney World Resort website. Price different Magic Your Way Vacation Packages with different types of resort hotels for the dates of your visit. Also, check the Special Offers to see which discounts might be applicable to the dates you plan to visit.

My family usually adds a dining plan to our vacation package because food can be unpredictably expensive. Having a plan helps us to better budget. If we are staying for six nights/seven days, we get park tickets for five or six days. We typically do base tickets, not park hopper tickets. With base tickets, you can visit one park per day. With park hopper tickets, you can visit multiple theme parks per day.

Once you make your reservation, start thinking about where you might want to eat while there. We always make dining reservations, especially for character meals. So, for example, if I know we are spending our first day in Magic Kingdom, I might make a breakfast or dinner reservation in Magic Kingdom.

Tommy, most important, make your Fast Pass+ selections. If you do stay at a Walt Disney World resort hotel, you can make selections 60 days in advance!

Magic, memories and Minnie Mouse hugs,
    Donyell
