Best FP at MK for 3 1/2 year old who is 3'4. Thinking Peter Pan, Jungle Cruise (long lines), Splash Mountain Buzz Lightyear ? Feel like we can get on Winnie the Pooh if we go there first and I heard there are 2 Dumbo Rides now? Thanks, Jen

Jen, traveling with a preschooler to Walt Disney World is a magical experience! I like to reminisce back to those days when my boys were little and didn't have a set school schedule yet. Ironically, most of their favorite rides from yEARs ago remain on their must-do list every time we visit!

The longest lines (and most coveted FastPass+) at Magic Kingdom Park are for Seven Dwarfs Mine Train. This ride is a family favorite, but it moves along at a pretty good clip. If your little Mouseketeer is a more adventurous tike, I think he'll enjoy it, and he will meet the height requirement which is 38 inches. Peter Pan's Flight is a great attraction for all ages, and it a terrific choice for FastPass+ since the lines grow quickly shortly after park opening. Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin is highly recommended by my 16-year-old (he's still trying to reach Galactic Hero status) as is the Jungle Cruise, and these are good bets for a FastPass+, too. Splash Mountain holds a special place in my heart, but the drop at the end can scare some preschoolers, plus you will definitely get wet, so I'd check with him first to make sure he's okay with that (also, note that the height requirement is 40 inches). And you can't go wrong with Dumbo the Flying Elephant, but waiting in the indoor play area is half the fun here, so a FastPass+ isn't really necessary.

One last tip, Jen- my kiddos always used to enjoy looking at the pictures of the attractions in Birnbaum's Walt Disney World For Kids: The Official Guide, which I would check out from my local library.   Wishing you a pixie-dusted vacation!

Hi, I'm Eean from Pennsylvania!  I may have an unusual name, but my passion for Disney is not unique.  It’s amazing how many people you can find who love talking about, "The Most Magical Place On Earth!"  I'm that mom who always has her ears perked at PTO meetings, in the grocery store aisle, or at middle school basketball games waiting for an opportunity to give someone a planning tip to help make their vacation even more magical.
