What is the best Deluxe Hotel to stay in with a family of 5? Two adults and 3 teenagers.

The word "best" can mean a lot to different folks, so feel free to come back and ask another Moms Panel member if I don't hit the nail on the head for you. But here is what my family likes about each of these deluxe resorts and what makes them "best":

    • Contemporary Hotel: Want a view of the castle or a short walk to Magic Kingdom? How about the fun of the monorail running through the lobby? This hotel sport good views and large rooms. Higher floors offer quieter rooms.
    • Polynesian: Walk to the Ticket and Transportation Center for a 15-minute ride to Epcot on the monorail or take the monorail from its second-floor lobby to the Magic Kingdom. Its beach view of the castle fireworks is one of the best, and the theme delights young and old. It's undergoing a renovation right now, so if your visit is soon, I'd choose it on a future vacation.
    • Beach Club: If you're headed to Disney in the summer, its pool complex can't be beat by the other resorts. Its within walking distance of Epcot and Hollywood Studios so older teens can come and go as they please. The boardwalk is also within walking distance so while the adults enjoy a fine dining experience at Yachtsmen's Steakhouse, the kids can eat at the Boardwalk's Pizza window. What makes it superior in my mind to the Contemporary or Polynesian is the fact that its sinks are located outside of the bathroom--important for a family of 5.

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
