What is the best day to go to Magic Kingdom in Florida? We will be staying in Clearwater the last week of August and looking to plan a day trip to Disney with my 5 and 8 year olds

    Hi Amanda,

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! A day trip to Magic Kingdom sounds quite special for your little ones!

When we make our park plans, we check the Park Hours for the dates of our visit. It also might be helpful for you to check an online crowd calendar to see what the crowd levels might be on the exact date of your visit. When I checked a few online crowd calendars, the last week of August looks to be a good time to visit with light to moderate crowds. We took our girls during the last week of August one year and the crowds were light because many school districts were back in session!

Amanda, having said that, I have never visited the Walt Disney World Resort when there are no crowds. So, take advantage of some of the advance planning tools to enhance your visit. Buy your tickets in advance. Create a My Disney Experience Account and add each person in your party to your My Friends & Family List. Then, link your park tickets by clicking on My Reservations and Tickets. Once you have your park tickets linked, you can make Fast Pass+ selections 30 days in advance as a day guest. I also suggest that you make a dining reservation for at least one character meal. The Crystal Palace is one of our favorite restaurants at Magic Kingdom!

Magic, memories and Minnie Mouse hugs,
    Donyell
