What are the BEST Character Dining experience for a 4-yr old boy. He loves Micky Mouse, Buzz Light, Toy Story, Monsters, Incredibles, etc. For a 1-week stay, would you recommend 1, 2 or 3 character dining meals? Thanks!!

    Hi Heather,

When our son was younger, we ate a lot of character meals. Especially buffets! Our son seemed to eat better when he could select among all the visual choices. However, some parents find buffets difficult due to juggling your own plate with that of your child's.

My son's fave character meal is at Chef Mickey's. He's now 11 and started going there at the age of 2. He enjoys the food, characters, getting to wave his napkin in the air to party with Mickey, and the monorail zipping by overhead.

Buzz, Toy Story, Monsters Inc. and the Incredibles do not have dining experiences, however there will be plenty of opportunities to visit many of these characters in the parks!

Other character meals that have been popular with our son include:
Tusker House with Donald Duck and friends
Crystal Palace with Winnie the Pooh and his Hundred Acre pals
    'Ohana with Lilo and Stitch

He's never had a problem dining at Cinderella's Royal Table or 1900 Park Fare with the Disney royalty. When he was young, he enjoyed the toy sword received at Cinderella's Royal Table. He still asks to dine in the castle!

I would do at least 2 character meals during your week if your budget allows!
