What are the best areas to meet the classic characters and have the shortest wait times? Chef Mickey's is out of the budget and I'd like to save FP's for the rides. We are going 9/28-10/2 and will do all parks except Epcot. TIA!

Hi Kelly! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

I love visiting the Walt Disney World Resort during the months of September and October! With fun events happening like Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, it is easy to "fall" in love with fall at "The Most Magical Place on Earth!"

Our most recent family vacation was the first time that my little ones really wanted to focus on seeing all of the Characters, because we purchased autograph books and they wanted to fill them up! Most of our interactions with the "classics" took place in Disney's Animal Kingdom and Magic Kingdom Park.

In Disney's Animal Kingdom, you can meet both Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse at Adventurers Outpost. This is a great meet-and-greet with the Characters in their safari outfits! Around the corner, we met Daisy Duck and Donald Duck at Donald's Dino-Bash! None of these Characters had more than a 20 minute wait when we were there, and we didn't wait more than 10 minutes for the most part! Even if your wait times are longer, it is worth it in my opinion.

In Magic Kingdom Park, the Daring Disney Pals of Donald and Goofy, as well as the Dashing Disney Pals of Pluto and Daisy, can be found at Pete's Silly Side Show at Storybook Circus. My favorite meet-and-greet of all time took place with Donald and Goofy here, so don't pass this one up!

I hope this helps you plan your visit, Kelly! Please let us know if you have any other questions.
