What is the best and most affordable accommodations for a family of 4 plus 2 additional adults? We will have a 4 year old and a 1 year old. It is best that the 4 year old have his "own space" for sleeping if possible. The 2 add. adults can have a

Hey Jeffrey! I have a few thoughts and Resort suggestions for you to fit your party. You may want to look into reserving two rooms at any of the Value or Moderate Resort hotels. This would provide better sleeping arrangements and would allow each family to have their own space. Of the Value Resorts, I highly recommend the Little Mermaid standard rooms at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort. However, these rooms are usually excluded from any Special Offers, so keep Disney’s Pop Century Resort in mind if you would like to take advantage of a sweet deal.

If your budget allows, reserving two rooms at any of the Moderate Resorts would give you the sleeping space you need, while providing extra amenities and slightly larger rooms. Walt Disney World Resort has recently added extra sleeping space to two of the Moderate Resorts to accommodate Guests who “need their own space.” I think your four-year-old would love having his own Murphy-style bed, like those installed in Disney’s Port Orleans – Riverside and Caribbean Beach Resorts. They are a tad bit smaller than an average twin bed, perfect for our little ones. Our five-year-old very quickly claimed that bed as hers, and even decorated it each morning with her stuffed animals and toys before we left for the Parks.

Whenever you reserve your rooms, be sure to ask the Cast Member to put in a "connecting room" request for you. This is just a request and cannot be guaranteed. That said, I have never had a problem, when travelling with minor children and booking two rooms, being able to get connecting rooms. I hope this information helps you with your decision. Please let me know if I can be of further assistance.
