Besides getting the PhotPass, is it worth bringing my own camera to the parks? Having less to carry is great but I don't want to miss out on anything.

    Hi Wendy,

While I can certainly appreciate your desire to carry as little as possible through "the World," I would absolutely recommend bringing along a camera to capture your magical memories.  Disney's PhotoPass photographers are fantastic and talented.  There are many opportunities to have your picture taken by them and scanned onto a convenient (light) card.  However, during the course of a Disney vacation, there are so many spontaneous moments that guests invariably want to capture with their own cameras.  Some of my best family shots include pictures of my kids as toddlers sitting in their strollers with half-melted Mickey bars dripping down their faces, or them staring in awe at a passing character or fireworks display.  We have many fantastic, professional shots taken by PhotoPass photographers, but I also very much cherish the candid shots we have.  We recently purchased a very slim digital camera that easily slips into a purse or pocket, and weighs almost nothing.  It works great for my family.  You might consider bringing along something similar.

    Have a magical trip!
