We are beginning to plan our spring trip to WDW. Can you give us your opinion between Coronado Springs Resort, Wilderness Lodge and the Polynesian. Those are the 3 we are trying to decide between. We have stayed at AKL before but too far from everything

I have stayed at all of these resorts and hope my experiences can help you.

If budget was not a factor, I would pick in this order:

    1. Polynesian
    2. Wilderness Lodge
    3. Coronado Springs Resort

If location and transportation are your largest priority, then the Polynesian would the most convenient. You would have monorail access to the Magic Kingdom and Epcot. In fact, you can walk from the Polynesian to the Transportation and Ticket Center (TTC) where you can board the Epcot monorail directly.

The Wilderness Lodge is close to the Magic Kingdom. The boat is a nice way to travel to and from the park, although probably not any faster than the bus. You can use the Magic Kingdom as a transportation hub and board the monorail to the TTC to then transfer to the Epcot monorail.

The Coronado Springs Resort is a beautiful, moderate hotel however it is very large with multiple internal bus stops. I think you would find the bus situation as tedious as you did at AKL when you were far from many of the attractions. If size is not a factor for you, this hotel offers some deluxe amenities at a moderate price.

The WL is priced similar to the AKL therefore you will save some money staying at this deluxe resort over the Polynesian. The lobby is amazing. The restaurants at the WL are among my favorites on WDW property. The rooms are the same size as at AKL. While I love the atmosphere at both lodges, I find the rooms rather small for a "deluxe" property.

The Polynesian Resort is a tropical oasis. And it puts you right in the middle of the magic. You can utilize the monorail. Hear it zipping past the resort. Listen to the ferry boat whistle. Glimpse the castle. Watch the fireworks while swimming in the pool. I really feel immersed in Disney magic at this resort. At night, the torch lights welcome you back to your resort. The rooms are very large!

So, first decide on your budget. Next think about the location, room size and atmosphere.
