We will becoming to WDW 1 month before my son turns 3. He is already big for his age and people think he is already 3 or 4. I know I don't need to buy a ticket for him, but will I get questioned about him needing a ticket? How do they verify his age?

    Hi Lisa,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for asking us a question!

My little guy visited Walt Disney World Resort 5 times as Mickey’s Special Guest before he turned 3 and we needed to purchase a Theme Park Ticket for him. I usually had a photocopy of his passport with me whenever we entered the Theme Parks, but I never needed to use it. Although my little guy is really REALLY big for his age, the most that Cast Members would do when we were entering a Theme Park or Water Park would be to ask me how old he was or for his exact birthdate. This was even the case when we visited with him 6 weeks before his 3rd birthday (and he had already been wearing size 4T clothing for months before that visit).

If you’re really concerned, you can always walk around with a photocopy of your son’s birth certificate, if only to give yourself peace of mind if you face questions about how old he is.

Please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions about your family’s upcoming visit!

    Have a Magical Day,

    Lynne
