Hi Lee!
Congratulations on becoming Disney Vacation Club Members! It sounds like you are getting excited about your first big trip. We truly love our Membership, and one of the many reasons we became Members was so that we could bring extended family and friends with us. I have taken many large family vacations to Walt Disney World, so I do have a few tips for you!
First, be sure that everyone has a My Disney Experience Account. I recommend that each adult have their own account, and be should be sure to link each other as Friends & Family. This will allow you to easily make FastPass+ selections together, manage dining reservations and view and share your PhotoPass photos.
Actually moving through the parks as a large group can be challenging. Add the fact that you are going at a very popular time of year, and you should be prepared to go much slower than usual. Someone always needs a rest stop or snack, so the more people you have, the slower your progress. Because of this, I recommend planning on spending some time together, but also time apart. We usually schedule one meal per day, and a few select attractions that we plan to experience as a group. Then we split off into smaller groups for more effective park touring.
It may sound silly, but create or purchase group shirts! It will not only add a little fun to your vacation, but it is much easier to find each other. Also, our shirts allow other Guests and Cast Members to realize we are traveling together, so we don't get split up when getting in queues or on attractions. Plus group shirts make for better photos. Speaking of photos, I highly recommend
Memory Maker for large groups. Capture all your vacation memories with one purchase. For a group as large as yours, it will be well worth it!
Wishing you Membership Magic!
