Hi. Does the beach at the Polynesian Resort get crowded for MK fireworks viewing? How early do you recommend arriving? Thanks a lot!

Hello Marcy! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

My family just returned from a Walt Disney World Resort Vacation where we stayed at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. Watching the Happily Ever After Fireworks Spectacular while cuddling with my kids and eating a Dole Whip from Pineapple Lanai vaulted onto the list of my top 5 experiences in all of Walt Disney World Resort.

The 2 times we watched the Happily Ever After Fireworks Spectacular from the beach the weather was rather rainy, which may have effected the relatively low turnout of Guests. However, the beach at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort is very long and I am doubtful that Guests would ever arrive in such numbers as to be considered "crowded".

Many Guests choose to watch the Happily Ever After Fireworks from the Campfire area (which is paved) in lieu of the beach. This area got crowded on both occasions. If you are willing to sit on the sand, then there should be ample viewing area to enjoy the show.

If you want a chaise lounge or one of the swinging chairs, I recommend that you plan to arrive on the beach 25 minutes before the Fireworks are scheduled to begin. While this might seem early, you will want to have your spots reserved for the Electrical Water Pageant - Magic Kingdom that stops in front of the beach at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort roughly 10 minutes before the Happily Ever After Fireworks begin (check the Recreation Schedule for exact times).

Don't forget the Dole Whips at Pineapple Lanai!
