    Jonas from NY Asked

I have back-to-back trips to Disney World (9 day trip split between 2 reservations). I already have my Park tickets. How can I link my tickets to both trips/Magic Bands? Thanks for any insight.

    Hi Jonas -

With the new My Magic+ system, managing the capabilities of your MagicBands is actually very easy.

If you have two separate Disney resort hotel reservations, you will receive two sets of MagicBands, even if the hotel stays are consecutive. You can choose to use either or both of these bands during both of your resort stays. I've now collected 7 or 8 MagicBands from various Disney World visits. I keep several of them active so that I can coordinate the color band with my outfit ;-)

As a first step in controlling your bands, go to DisneyWorld.com and login to your account (near the top of the page). Then go to the My Disney Experience tab on the top right and scroll down to the "My Account" section. Click on "Magic Bands and Cards."

Assuming that you've selected bands for your stays, you should see a little photo of a band next to each member of your traveling party. With two stays, you'll see pictures of two bands next to each person. Click on a band, and you'll have the ability to activate or deactivate any band. Any band with active status can be used for any Walt Disney World function such as park admission, charging, or FastPass+ usage. You can even use any active MagicBand to open any Walt Disney World room into which you are currently booked. This means, for example, that I could choose use a band that I got from a trip six months ago to open my current room.

Again, once you link your park tickets to your account, you can use them with any Band that you've given active status in My Disney Experience.

Good luck with your planning. Please let us know what else we can do to help.
