Hi. This is an awesome panel by the way. My husband are planning a trip for just us next spring. The dates are 3/28- 4/5/14. Based on our dates, which parks do you recommend visiting on which days taking into consideration extra magic hours, crowd control?

Hi Hannah! Planning to visit the least crowded Disney park each day is a smart way to ensure you'll be able to experience the most attractions with the least waiting.

You don't mention in your question whether you're staying at a Disney resort and if so, whether you want to take advantage of Disney's Extra Magic Hours. This added park time for Disney resort guests is a great park if you're able to get up early or stay up late enough to take advantage of it. I make my family set the alarm on our Disney vacations so that we can take advantage of the morning Extra Magic Hours -- being able to walk on most rides is well worth losing a little sleep for us! If you feel the same, plan to visit the park hosting Extra Magic Hours each day:
    3/28 Epcot (evening)
    3/29 Hollywood Studios (morning)
    3/30 Magic Kingdom (evening)
3/31 Animal Kingdom (morning) Hollywood Studios (evening)
    4/1 Epcot (morning)
    4/2 Animal Kingdom (morning)
    4/3 Magical Kingdom (morning)
    4/4 Epcot (evening)
    4/5 Hollywood Studios (evening)

If you're not planning to take advantage of the Extra Magic Hours, then avoid the park hosting them each day since it could become more crowded. I like to consult the Crowd Calendars on unofficial websites like or, which try to predict attendance levels based on various factors. I would recommend the following schedule:
    3/28 Hollywood Studios
    3/29 Animal Kingdom
    3/30 Hollywood Studios
    3/31 Epcot
    4/1 Magic Kingdom
    4/2 Magic Kingdom
    4/3 Epcot
    4/4 Animal Kingdom
    4/5 Epcot
