I am aware that you need a hopper pass to be able to visit more then one park in a day. We have a 5 day ticket, so I was wondering if we wanted to visit 2 parks that day if it would let us and just count as 2 days being used on our ticket?

This is a very frequently asked question, and unfortunately the answer is no. The base tickets are computer coded so that can not be used at more than one park per day. If you attempt to enter a second park, your ticket will be rejected by the turnstile. If you want to visit more than one park per day, then you're going to need the Park Hopper option.
