Hello !! We are avid WDW visitors. However with a 7 yr old & 2 year old we'd like to experience the Disney Cruise this year. We're interested in either 3 or 4 night cruises but want to know when the cheapest sailing months are...THanks so much !

    Hi David,

Historically, cruising on the Disney Cruise Line is more affordable in January and September through early December, not counting Thanksgiving (which is very expensive).  Disney Cruise Line appeals to guests of all ages, but in my opinion, especially families.  Just like Walt Disney World, a lot of families have to cruise on Disney Cruise Line when their children are not in school, making summer and major holidays expensive times of the year.  Spring is also relatively expensive as a lot of people are tired of the cold by then in the Northern Hemisphere and the thought of cruising in the Caribbean is very appealing!

I recommend a 4 night cruise over a 3 night cruise.  My last cruise on the Disney Magic was a 7 night cruise in July and I thought it ended too soon!  Quite frankly, it was the best vacation of my life and I didn't want to get off the ship (and we were headed to Walt Disney World the day we disembarked).  I don't think a 3 night cruise gives you enough time on the beautiful ships.  However, it will give you a taste for cruising if you're not sure your family would enjoy it.

Enjoy planning and write back if you have any more questions!
