    Alyssa Asked

What is the avg. cost of a princess costume at BBB? Wondering if I should buy a costume in advance to ensure DD gets the princess dress she wants, but wondering if the dresses at BBB are better quality or design than I could find in the Disney store? Thx!

    Hi Alyssa,

in my opinion, the quality of the princess dresses sold at Walt Disney World is superior to those sold at the Disney Stores. The fabric is heavier and the stitching and details seem more secure. The flip side of this is that the dresses at WDW cost significantly more. Prices can change, but most of the princesses dresses at WDW (including the BBB) cost somewhere in the neighborhood of $65 each, plus more for accessories. The Disney Store dresses often cost $20 less than this. If you think your daughter will use the dress for playtime for many months, it may be worth getting the more expensive version, but if you think she'll just be wearing it to a meal at WDW, then I'd save the money and get the Disney Store dress.

Good luck with your planning. Please let us know what else we can do to help.
