On average how long are ticket purchasing lines and how long are park entrance lines both at Animal Kingdom?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, America!

I know many Guests are excited to get a jump on their day and want to head to their first attraction as soon as the park opens, rather than waiting in line to purchase tickets or enter the theme park.

Just how long lines might be will vary quite a bit with the time of day.  Ticket windows and entrance turnstiles are usually busiest in the morning about 30 minutes or so prior to the official park opening time.  In my experience, there is not usually a very long wait at the ticket windows.  Many Guests who are visiting on any particular day will be using multi-day tickets that they have already purchased.  Guests do line up prior to park opening, but in my experience, Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park usually begins admitting Guests about 20 to 30 minutes prior to the scheduled park opening time, and lines move quickly.  Guests are then held further within the park until the official opening time.

To save time, you can purchase your tickets online, or stop by the Disney Ticket Center at Disney Springs to purchase your tickets in advance.  Purchasing your tickets prior to your visit will also allow you to select your FastPass+ experiences up to 30 days in advance, or up to 60 days in advance with a reservation at a Disney Resort Hotel or other participating hotels.

Please stop by the Moms Panel again with any additional questions you may have as you plan your visit to Walt Disney World Resort.  We are always happy to help.
