We are Aussies and its our first trip to WDW. We are trying to compare Art of Animation to Grand Floridian. our daughter is 10. Apart from Decor, i see no benefits to AOA. We are coming Sept 2013. Would love to hear your opinion?

    Hi Phillip!

This is a great question. The new Art of Animation Resort is absolutely fabulous. However, it's big draw is the theming throughout the resort. If theming (or decor) is not a big deal, then I would definitely pick the Grand Floridian or any Disney Deluxe Resort over the Art of Animation resort, a Value Resort. Disney Deluxe Resorts offer a lot of services and amenities.  The Grand Floridian in particular is the flagship resort of the Walt Disney World Resort. It has several Table Service restaurants in addition to a Quick Service location; Value Resorts just offer Quick Service. The Grand Floridian has boat service to get to the Magic Kingdom. You can also get to the Magic Kingdom and Epcot via the monorail. You can also rent various watercraft to explore the Seven Seas Lagoon and Bay Lake.

There really is no comparison between the two resorts in terms of services and amenities. However, most young children would prefer the Art of Animation Resort because of its theming.

I hope this helps. Please write back with more questions.
