Attending with wife and kid, nov 17-22 '16 as a late birthday present for her. We arrive at MCO at 8am and would like some help as this has become a little overwhelming. Are there any particular things I should attend, do, request or look out for?

    Hi Sammy,

Thank you so much for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. We are here to help you plan a magical Walt Disney World vacation! The good news for you is that you are still far enough ahead of your vacation that you have plenty of time to take your time planning a wonderful trip.

The first thing that I suggest you do is view the Walt Disney World planning video. This is available free of charge and you will get to see many of the attractions and activities available around Walt Disney World. The ones that you visit will depend largely on your family and your specific interests, so viewing the video will let you see the many options available.

Next, if you have not yet done so, set yourself up with a My Disney Experience account. You will need this to manage your resort and dining reservations, as well as to choose Disney FastPass+ experiences. You are getting close to being able to make Disney Dining reservations, which you can do at 180 days ahead of time. I suggest that you take a look at the restaurant options and make your dining reservations as soon as you can so that you are sure that you will get to eat at restaurants that you want to.

As you get closer to your vacation, you will want to make Disney FastPass+ selections. These will allow you to experience some attractions with shorter wait times. Again, watching the planning video may help you to consider which attractions are the most interesting for your family.

I would love to help you plan more Sammy; however, I am limited in the amount of space that I have to answer. Please do let us know if you have any further questions!
