When attending the MVMCP, do I need park admission for that day also or will the MVMCP ticket get you in? I am trying to limit the number of park days I'm purchasing with this trip so that I'll be forced to relax and spend some time at my resort.

    Heather,

If you want to enter the Magic Kingdom in the morning, you would need a separate admission ticket to the park.  Starting sometime around 4 in the afternoon you can typically use an evening party ticket (such as a ticket to Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, or MVMCP) to enter the Magic Kingdom.

Kudos, by the way, on planning some relaxation time.  As much as all of us planners try to stay at the most appropriate resorts, dine at the perfect restaurants, and ride the latest attractions, our kids (and us parents too) will often have the fondest memories in the least expected ways -- in the resort pool, feeding the ducks, or talking with another kid on a bus ride.  The fact that you're already keeping this in mind as you plan, bodes well for a fantastic trip to Disney World.

    Hope that helps.
