Hello, we are attending Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween party and are wondering if we need to bring a container for trick-or-treating . Also, are the character meet and greets at the usual spots on that night? Thanks!

Hello Anne and welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

You are going to be attending my favorite special event at the Walt Disney World Resort. I LOVE Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. My family and I have attended the party several times and I have attended with friends as well. The first time my family and I attended Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party my children were SURE they needed to bring their large plastic pumpkins to take full advantage of the Trick or Treat Trails. I told them they would not need their pumpkins but I have to admit I wasn't sure.

Fortunately, bags for Trick-or-Treating are given out to each guest as you enter the Magic Kingdom Park for the party. Some years my children had filled those bags to overflowing! Some years they were more interested in character greetings and entertainment options and their candy bags were not quite as full.

We do not know exactly where any of the Character Greetings will take place until the first party of the year happens. Once the first party happens later in August there will be more information available about Character Greetings and as always, they are subject to change.

Thank you again, Anne, for asking another great question. Please let us know if we can help you with any other questions.
    Wishing you a magical vacation,
    Amy H.
