    Ginneine from MN Asked

We are attending our first MVMCP in November. I have a couple of questions. Where is the best spot to watch the parade in Frontierland? I want to pick up party specific merchandise. How early can you do this and what shop will have the best selection?

Hi Ginneine! For years we have made our annual trek to the Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. It is such a fun way to celebrate this holiday and doing it with all the Disney characters makes it very special.

We have often watched the parade from Frontierland. We like the area in front of the Country Bear Jamboree attraction but anywhere along that stretch is a good option. They will start putting out the ropes about 45 minutes early so when you see that consider finding a spot so you are up front and can sit and wait. If you can get a spot at the turn in Liberty Square this will give you a front view of all the floats as they proceed down Frontierland and then side views as they make the turn. This is a different perspecitve and fun but those spots go quickly and it is more crowded in that area with people squeezing into every inch possible.

The party specific merchandise is not supposed to be brought out until 7pm or the opening of the party that night. I have always found the best choices at the Emporium on Main Street or the little shop connecting with it. While you can find some items at other locations the Emporium will usually have it all in one spot making shopping easier. If you don't see something please just ask a cast member and they will be glad to locate it for you in the park. Starting at 7pm only guests with the party wristband will be allowed to enter all of the shops making it much easier to do your shopping without the mass of people.
