I will attending Disney for the 1st time and have 2 girls ages 13 & 11. We are not huge ride fans. Can you suggest must have activities and rides for 4 days in MK and Epcot?

    Hi Denise,

How exciting to be planning your first Walt Disney World vacation. My daughter is 12 years old, so I am familiar with this age group! Let me share some of my family's favorite non-ride activities at Magic Kingdom and Epcot.

If you are heading on vacation soon, there are some great autumn events at Walt Disney World. At Epcot, you will find the amazing Epcot International Food and Wine Festival, which includes culinary demonstrations, concerts, international food kiosks, and so much more. My daughter loves to spend an afternoon walking around World Showcase and sampling international cuisine from the kiosks. At Magic Kingdom, fall plays host to Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. This after hours party at Magic Kingdom features festive Halloween-themed entertainment, the opportunity to trick-or-treat around the theme park, and you can even wear costumes! Please see the site that I linked for more information on these events.

Both Epcot and Magic Kingdom offer interactive games. Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom and A Pirates Adventure: Treasures of the Seven Seas are located in Magic Kingdom, and Agent P's World Showcase Adventure is at Epcot. While these may be geared to children slightly younger than yours, they provide fun storylines that keep you moving around the theme park. If your children are willing to try, it could be really fun!

At Epcot, my daughter loved the Behind the Seeds tour. This tour lets you see the Land Pavilion greenhouses in a close and in-depth way. Also, don't forget to take in the shows, parades, and character meetings at each theme park!

I would love to help you plan more Denise; however, I am limited in the space that I have to answer. Please do write back with any further questions.
