Does Arts of Animations resorts allow early check in? We plan to spend our first day around the resort to catch movies under the stars and other events because we are flying in early and I do not want to sit around and wait until evening check in.

Hi, Tarvia! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I'm really excited to share some details that will make your first day in Walt Disney World Resort focused on fun and unforgettable memories!

Since you are flying into town, you can reserve a ride on Disney's Magical Express. You will get an itinerary and luggage tags to add to anything you plan to check. Those bags will magically go from the Orlando Airport straight to your room without needing to worry about it at all! All you have to do is walk from your airplane to the Magical Express bus. It will take you to Art of Animation Resort.

You can use Online Check-In to set up your stay 60 days ahead of time, so once you get to your resort, you may be surprised to find out there's a room ready for you. If not, you can give Disney permission to text message your room number to you while you play at one of the parks. I have checked in at various times and often I've been surprised to find out my room is already waiting for me. If you are interested in more details, check out these frequently asked questions about online check-in.

When I use the Magical Express, I tend to pack light carry-ons just in case I need to play in the parks with the items I bring onto the plane. It's totally worth having the ability to play all day and get to my room in the evening with my big bags waiting for me.

Your trip is getting closer! Please, don't hesitate to ask me any extra questions before April!
