I will be arriving on 5/25/13 with my 16 year old son. We have DDP. Where would be a good place for us to eat dinner that we would not need to enter a park that day? Staying at AOA.

Hello, Anne-Marie!  Welcome to the Moms Panel!

I am happy to hear that you and your family will be enjoying a Walt Disney World Resort vacation this coming May.  The Art of Animation Resort is such a beautiful and fun resort and I know you are all going to enjoy your stay.

There are quite a few dining experiences that my teenage boy enjoys with every visit.  Most of them are located outside the four theme parks and are simply a must with every visit.

Now my teenager still enjoys meeting up with Disney Characters while dining.  This way I get my photo opportunities and he does not waste his time standing in lines while in the parks.  While in the parks, he just wants to enjoy the rides.  So, if you want some character pictures and all your son has to do is sit and eat, then the list below is going to help.

    Character Dining:

-Chef Mickey's (Contemporary Resort/ breakfast and dinner)
-'Ohana's Best Friends Breakfast with Lilo & Stitch (Disney's Polynesian Resort)
-Beach Club Breakfast Buffet (Disney's Beach Club Resort)

    Other Favorite Restaurants:

-Whispering Canyon Cafe (Disney's Wilderness Lodge-Make sure to have him ask for  some ketchup!)
-Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue (The Campsites at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort-Great dinner and a    fun show!)
-Trail's End Restaurant (The Campsites at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort)
-Disney's Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show (Disney's Polynesian Resort)

I hope this helps as you continue with your planning.  Please come back and join me again should any new questions pop-up as your vacation approaches.

~Have a MAGICAL day and "SEE YOU REAL SOON"!~
