We will be arriving for our 2 1/2 year old daughter's first visit in April of 2010! Our first day we'll be exploring the different resorts and such. Can you reccommend a resort dining to get us in the spirit? We want it to be memorable for our little one!

    Hi Jocelyn!

The Walt Disney World resorts have some fabulous places to eat. In my answers below, I'm going to assume that you are looking for some place to get the whole family in the spirit, including your daughter.

The number one location to get everybody in the Disney spirit has got to be Chef Mickey's in the Contemporary Resort. It's a Character Dining Experience with Mickey and friends  and it offers breakfast and dinner buffet style. The atmosphere is fantastic. My children, ages 5 and 10, have made it a "must do" on every trip!

My family also loves the Whispering Canyon Cafe in the Wilderness Lodge, especially for dinner. The Cast Members do a great job not breaking character and entertaining the guests. My youngest loves the "horse races". If you go, be sure to ask for ketchup for your table or for a large drink!

We also enjoy 'Ohana in the Polynesian Resort and Boma in the Animal Kingdom Lodge, though my children prefer 'Ohana. If your daughter loves Cinderella, you might try the Cinderella's Happily Ever After Dinner at 1900 Park Fare in the Grand Floridian.

Another great option to get in the spirit is the Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Review at Fort Wilderness. However, your daughter may be too young for the show. I was concerned about my youngest last year, but he absolutely loved it.

By the way, here are some of my thoughts on bringing a very young child to to Walt Disney World.  Have a magical vacation!
